South Texas Literacy Symposium

The South Texas Literacy Coalition and Literacy Texas are preparing to host the South Texas Literacy Symposium, a professional development conference for local literacy providers, parent involvement staff, librarians, teachers, and volunteer teachers in literacy programs. This free conference will include information on various literacy topics including volunteer management, teaching strategies to reach low-literacy audiences, digital literacy, collaboration ideas with local school and public libraries, and management techniques for literacy administrators including grant writing tips and program evaluation. The South Texas Literacy Symposium is being held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 on the campus of the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley in the University Ballroom, 1201 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Texas.

We would like to invite you, or a representative from your company, to join us as an exhibitor to promote your organization and resources which you may have available for literacy providers and outreach workers. With your participation, you will be able to reach hundreds of people to promote your organization at no cost by setting up a booth where you will share printed materials and explain your organization’s services with attendees. Most importantly, you will be doing a community service by educating the community on various types of literacy issues. You will have a table for your use in setting up your display. The theme of our event is: Literacy: Leading the Way to 21st Century Life Skills. Downloaded documents:
